Strawberry Salad

Ingredients

  • One of those big tubs fresh spinach or assorted salad greens
  • You know, maybe a quart fresh strawberries Washed and halved or quartered

Dressing

  • 1/3 cup raspberry vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup vegitable oil
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp seedless strawberry jam
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried minced onion
  • 1/2 tbsp poppy seeds

Candied Pecans (optional)

  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1/3 cup sugar

Instructions

Greens

  • Wash salad greens and toss with strawberries.

Dressing

  • Combine & blend thoroughly dressing ingredients

Candied Pecans (optional)

  • Cook pecans & sugar over low heat until sugar is melted and the pecans are coated.
  • Cool and break apart.

Serving

  • Add dressing and optional pecans just before serving

Notes

Refrigerate unused dressing for future salad. You'll have plenty of dressing! I store it in a glass jar.
