This is Jeff’s great grandma’s recipe for krumkake. Shared by cousin Kristin Agner.
Krumkake
Ingredients
Ma's version
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 lb butter
- 2 cups flour
- vanilla
Grandma Andersen's version
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg or vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 2 cups flour
Instructions
Prepare Dough
- Cream room temperature butter and sugar together; add eggs and vanilla.
- Add flour one cup at a time until well blended.
- To make cookies... I use a cookie scooper -small.
Make
- Using a cookie scoop (small), place one scoop of dough in the center of each iron and close iron to bake.
- Cook until cookie is lightly browned.
- Roll hot cookie around krumkake roller to form.
- Place cookie on cookie rack to cool.
