If you are making your own red sauce, you'll want to do this first so it can simmer for a while.
Cook and cool pasta.
Boil water
Add noodles to water; cook 2 minutes less than directions on package
Pour noodles and water into a strainer.
Run cold water over the noodles to stop the cooking process.
Leave in strainer until white sauce is done.
Prepare Meat
Brown your meat; set aside.
Prepare White Sauce
Here you would want to make your favorite alfredo or bechamel sauce.
Bring it Together
In one pan, mix meat and red sauce.
In another pan, mix white sauce and noodles.
In a 9x13 pan, layer the two mixtures until pan is full ending with red sauce.
Top with mozzarella
Bake at 375 until browned and bubbling
