Ingredients

Glaze

  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Prepared Mustard

Meat Loaf

  • 2 eggs lightly beaten
  • 1 onion Medium, minced
  • 1/2 cup Cracker Crumbs
  • 2 lbs ground beef Lean
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 4 oz prepared glaze

Instructions

Prepare Glaze

  • Prepare glaze in small bowl. Combine tomato sauce, brown sugar and mustard; set aside.

Prepare Loaf

  • In large mixing bowl, combine eggs, onion, cracker crumbs, ground beef, salt and pepper.
  • Add 1/2 tomato mixture (4oz.), and mix thoroughly.
  • Place mixture in meat loaf pan. Pour remaining tomato sauce over the top of meat, and bake for 1 1/2 hrs. at 350 degrees
  • OR
  • Place meat mixture in glass ring mold or 2 qt. microproof round casserole. Pour remaining tomato sauce over the top of meat. Cook in microwave uncovered on high 12-14 minutes; Let stand covered 5-10 minutes before serving .
