Servings 7 2-cup packages

Ingredients

  • 16 cups corn cut off raw with a sharp knife (4 Quarts/24 ears)
  • 3 cups water
  • 4 tbsp butter (1/2 stick)
  • 3-4 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a large kettle.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Cool. Do not drain.
  • Package in Ziploc freezer bags.

Notes

Yield: Seven 2-cup packages
This recipe takes about 24 ears of fresh corn.
